Direct Flights from Europe to the Dominican Republic

A lot of people ask me what the best way is to get from Europe to Cabarete or in general how to get to the Dominican Republic from Europe. There are many direct flights from Europe to the Dominican Republic, but sometimes they can be hard to find. Not all flights operate daily and except for Punta Cana, many airports only have few direct connections to Europe.

This is why I decided to create an overview of available flights from the island to Europe and how to find them. Not all of these flights are available throughout the year, some of them only operate during the winter season and I recommend you check the Airlines' webpage directly to get current information.

Airplane

Direct Flights to Puerto Plata from Europe

Puerto Plata Airport is around 20-25 minutes away from Cabarete and the taxi ride will cost roughly 35 USD. There are only two direct flights from Puerto Plata to Europe. There is a direct flight from Frankfurt, Germany, to Puerto Plata and there is also a direct flight from Zurich, Switzerland, to Puerto Plata.

The flight from Frankfurt does a quick stop in Santo Domingo before continuing to Frankfurt.
